Mobile Banking Terms – Bunyoro Finance Bank
1. Introduction
This Mobile Banking Agreement (“Agreement”) outlines the terms and conditions for accessing Bunyoro Finance Bank’s mobile banking services (“Mobile Banking,” “Service”) via smartphone applications, USSD codes, or any other mobile platform provided by the Bank.
By registering for or using Mobile Banking, you agree to comply with this Agreement, our E-Banking Agreement, Privacy Policy, and Website Terms & Conditions.
2. Eligibility
To use Mobile Banking, you must:
- Be an existing Bunyoro Finance Bank account holder
- Be at least 18 years old or have legal capacity under Ugandan law
- Own a registered and active mobile phone number linked to your account
- Have completed mobile banking registration through a branch, agent, or self-service sign-up (where available)
3. Services Provided
Through Mobile Banking, you can:
- Check account balances and recent transactions
- Transfer funds between your accounts
- Send money to other Bunyoro Finance Bank accounts
- Transfer to accounts in other banks (via EFT or mobile money integrations)
- Pay utility bills, school fees, and other registered services
- Purchase airtime and data bundles
- Request mini-statements and transaction alerts
4. Security Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Keep your PIN, passwords, and mobile device secure at all times
- Use only the registered phone number for mobile banking transactions
- Immediately notify the Bank if your phone is lost, stolen, or your SIM card is compromised
- Avoid sharing OTPs (One-Time Passwords) with anyone, including people claiming to be Bank staff
Important: The Bank will never call, SMS, or email you asking for your PIN or password.
5. Transaction Limits and Fees
- Daily and per-transaction limits apply as per the Bank’s Mobile Banking Tariff Guide
- Some transactions may incur charges, which will be communicated before you confirm the transaction
- Limits and fees may change with prior notice from the Bank
6. Network and System Availability
- Mobile Banking relies on mobile network operators and internet connectivity.
- The Bank is not responsible for service disruptions caused by network failures, power outages, or third-party service providers.
- Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible.
7. Liability
You are responsible for all transactions conducted using your mobile banking credentials until you inform the Bank of any unauthorised access or theft.
The Bank is not liable for:
- Losses caused by your negligence (e.g., sharing your PIN)
- Delays or errors due to mobile network issues beyond our control
- Transactions made with your authorisation
The Bank will be responsible for:
- Losses caused by its own technical failures, errors, or fraudulent actions of its staff
8. Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate your Mobile Banking access if:
- We detect suspicious or fraudulent activity
- You fail to comply with this Agreement
- Your account is closed or restricted
- Required by law or regulator

10. Changes to the Agreement
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on our Website and/or communicated via SMS or email.
11. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Uganda, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Ugandan courts.
